wireless internet help???
k i need jd or buk to chime in, bitches i need some help, im getting a shitty signal from someone arond here with this crappy intel 3495 internal card, in my e1705, whats the easyest and cheapest way to get a good signal or more signals?? would a wireless acess point work? or do they need to be plugged in to a router or some ----??

There are a lot of cheap USB wireless adapters that you can use with an old DTV dish, or even a spider (asian strainer/scoop). That will help if you can find the network, the antenna will be directional.

yea i cant use that though, my e1705 dell only has an express socket, how does a wireless acess point work?? r they wireless and just have way more range? or does it need to be plugged into the router?? i found a seano usb one but how much better are they? only a 2dbi antenna?

Don't expect to get on any that haven't been left wide open for you... which is about 60% wide open, not too shabby.
You need a wireless card (PCI for desktop, PCMCIA for laptop) with external antenna provision, or one of the USB wireless dildoes (the two I've had work pretty well). Google building Cantennas (or see how they use old dishes for reflectors for the USB stuffs) and build one out of an old coffee can and $10 in supplies and aim it at your neighbor. You'll get a good signal, and if you play a bit you can probably pick up another neighbor.
It can be pretty fun, but the first little bit of playing around can be frustrating. Since you've HMT'd a car before you probably won't even be irritated.

The antenna shown is my setup that you can hook into your mini-pci in your laptop if I read right or at least think I did. Its pretty early for me and im half asleep. Pm me if you wanna purchase it.
