----... i bit the bullet and ------ just lost everything and re installed windows. everytime i would fix something, something else would go wrong..... im all good now., Just got to start from scratch!

That's what I do every time someone brings me there fucked up computer with viruses. Only remove documents on request.
I would rather give them a fresh computer than spend 2 hours finding the ------- problem and another 2 fixing. Reinstalling only takes 1 hour with all the programs installed.

You don't need to reinstall Windows or any sort of that junk.
Pop the hard drive into another computer and take the automatically created registry backup files from the second most recent system restore point (assuming you have it turned on, which it is by default).
Copy those files over the corrupted registry.
Pop the drive back into the original machine and boot it up.
Problem solved.

If you go in recovery console you can CP the files over. You don't need to take your hardrive out or anything like that.
