Windows Vista help.... wireless problem

Just "upgraded" to Vista (again... don't ask why :P) and now I'm having problems with my wireless PCI card. I uninstalled it and had vista install the right drivers.

It'll work for a half hour to hour, then just disconnect. Sometimes it's only 5 minutes. I can connect again after a few minutes, but then it does it again. All other computers in the house work just fine (4 xp machines and 1 other vista machine).

Any advice? I called Microgetssoft and they said I can't get support since it's an older version. BDVT?

Thanks

had similar problem with my vista basic. DL the latest updates asap that should help. Keep updating 'til there is no more.
Are you using your own wireless or someone elses?

I have the same problem with Vista, but not as bad. It just forgets it has a signal and I have to "repair" the problem. The desktop works just fine during this situation, but the laptop with Vista loses signal. I don't use computers for much more than cruising the internet so Vista seems to be ok for me besides that gay ass problem with the wireless signal. :-\

Re: Windows Vista help.... wireless problem

After a month or two I've still not had a single problem out of Vista and am searching for what makes it so horrible.

Have you done all the updates at www.windowsupdate.com like suggested?

I've tried to make it crash by watching a 1080p video, while extracting a 6.8gb file, while burning a 6.8gb dvd, while encoding a video for my phone, while installing a game, and hurling insults at the computer, and I have yet to even see some slowdown :( I want to see why I've avoided Vista the past couple years like it was the plague.

This is our own wireless and yes I've done all the updates (SP1, ect).

Router:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16833124277

Wireless card:

http://www.buffalotech.com/products/...d-pci-adapter/

I've downloaded every update, including all optional, except for the language packages. Still the same thing. I'm stumped.
