Win XP
I'm sick and ------- tired of my computer. Its all slow. and in DESPERATE need of a re-format / install.
the problem however, is I dont wanna run win98se (the only install CD, illegal btw, that i have). I want to run WinXP Pro or Home i dont care. but i dont wanna buy it.. anyone have a copy that I can properly use and even update the fucker? cuz i can't update my current copy. and i dont have a XP CD. Some1 borrowed it (cracked copy) and fel off the face of the earth. so.. any1 willing to MSN or whatever a copy to me. Or a known copy on the net that's good? (torrent/kazaa/e-mule??) ty in advance! |
Re:Win XP
Well if you have Kazaa you should be good to go. Otherwise I can send you everything you need over AIM, MSN, or whatever.
|
Re:Win XP
I have an XP CD right here... would be it be possible to send you all the files then have you put it on CD?
|
Re:Win XP
Yeah, you just have to burn it as a bootable CD and finalize it.
|
Re:Win XP
do not use an XP home bootleg, going xp bootleg only use XP Pro.
I think Suprnova has XP for dl. |
Re:Win XP

I heard that you are allowed a certain number of unique system config's on XP.. will that cd work for me!? |
Re:Win XP
I hate home. But oh well.
Ask Jeff about it, he installed XP and changed something in the registry to disable it ;) |
Re:Win XP
u mean jeff changed somethig in the reg of a XP Home/Pro install to use it on 2 machines at once?
JEFF, DO TELL!! |
Re:Win XP

I formatted and reinstalled xp in my desktop and laptop in the same day and I'm pretty sure I used the same key. Just make sure the XP pro is the copy that Companies are suppose to have only, not the ones for like retail computers |

Re:Win XP
Im running XP Pro and cant update to SP2. It says my regisatration is no good or somethign liek that
|
Re:Win XP
get a registration switcher. you can change to a valid code with it. ones that are already in registry.
|
Re:Win XP
If you had an older computer (running win98) I would reccomend win2k, it's a lot less resource hungry, and doesn't have all the bells and whistles and stupid wizards that XP has.

by the way, if you can't windows update sp2, then you should just download the administrator version from the microsoft website http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...35-SP2-ENU.exe after you download it(its a big ------- file so dont even bother with dial up), just install. if you have an amd64 processor get ready for some issues. |
Re:Win XP
poor man's OS in a good way. that free, enabling way.
|
Re:Win XP
Thats an Admin version of the SP 2 update?
|
Re:Win XP
yes. the windows update version just downloads only the patches and ---- that you are missing. this sp2 contains ALL patches, including ---- that is already on your computer. It also includes everything from service pack 1, since service packs are cumulative. it is meant to be put on a server and installed to MANY machines, thereby saving time and network bandwidth. however for your purposes, since you cant windows update it, you can use it for only one machine and install it locally instead of placing it on a server and installing from there.
