Will JB Weld fix this?

2 Attachment(s)
I broke an A/C line a while back when moving the A/C condenser forward enough to get my IC behind it for stealth. It broke the little tiny ass fitting that goes into the accumulator. Well, i got a new end and had it welded on. Fixed it.. I thought. Damn thing still leaks a spec right at the connection. I serviced the A/C properly with a vac pump and manifold when I changed that line. The system is still has freon, but it's low. I added about 4 oz to it a while back and after 3 months it's leaked those 4 oz back out. Had to use the A/C this weekend and it reminded me this needs fixing. A/C has to be right. :y

Think some JB will fix this? I can scratch it up good, clean it with mineral spirits, etc. But think the JB will actually seal it up? It leaks just enough to make it oily and dirt sticks around the oily area as pictured. JB's never failed me before, but this line gets hot, sees vibration, ~240PSIG, etc.

Also I'm thinking the original JB weld but I'll have to do something so it won't drip off. Need a form to hold it till it sets. :8

get a product called pc7. thicker, stronger, and is lightly fibered like tigerhair. MUCH more workable over jb weld too. i use it exclusively over jb weld, plus it's cheaper

Where can I get this? I gotta order it online or pickup at Lowes or wally world? Google shows Ace carries it but no Ace hardware around here.

We have a Souther Pipe and Supply. They might have it. I'll check wally-world tomorrow. I got plenty of JB though so I might just use that if it will work.

JB weld is fine. If it drips off just let it cure for a little longer, maybe 30 minutes to an hour before applying it.

! I really used to hate miatas until i've seen them properly modified. Now, they're not so bad.

JB weld can fix anything....except cracked timing covers on fail caviler z24's.

try a new o-ring first. make sure its one of the green high temp ones. i used to do custom a/c installs on airplanes, we had to deal with ---- like that on a regular basis. if the o-ring doesnt do it, then just have it rewelded
