Axial play
Is this up and down shaft play or side to side. I have a small amount of up and down shaft play, is this bad?

Re:Axial play
you COULD replace the bearings, that would remove any shaft play, but if it's not to much movement, you should be fine.

Re:Axial play
there is no in and out movement. Only some minor up and down movement, but not ecough to hit the housings.

Re:Axial play
agreed, some radial play is correct but you shouldn't feel any axial (thrust) play
