why NOT to street race

Re:why NOT to street race
i saw a 04' rsx that wanted to race me zoom past by me after being stuck 2 cars behind me on the highway on ramp.
he passed me fast as hell, i was just doing 60mph. so i catch up but i stay 4 car lengths behind cause by the time i caught up i was doing 115 and there was a long banked curve ahead. the rsx swirved real fast to the left cause the car infront of him slowed down, it must've been doing over 100. it cut left quick, lost traction and slammed head first into the concrete barrier. it bounced off the barrier and ended up infront of my car about 40ft and was slidding sideways, i was on the furthest outside lane, he was on the inside lane when he crashed. it then stopped slidding and rolled down the bank and crash from the back into the barrier. i looked at the driver and he was knocked out sitting with his head looking down. that rsx was totaled! this happened within 2 minutes of just getting on the highway. it left me shook up for a few days.

That just sucks....The guy flashing his high beam and tail gating ... it was mostly his fault and he hit the car from behind to.
And yeah... you know girls always gets the fella's in trouble.
Good thing the passanger survived, cause he wasn't at fault...most of the time the innocent dies...but luckely this time it was the other way around

jesus thats fucked up... personally i would never travel at 140 mph in a car that weighs barely more than a ton... i feel sketchy on the highway in my civic since you can really feel how light the car is at highspeeds. thats a really sad story though definitely gives you the chills just thinking of the stupid ---- you've done in your car and gotten away with.

Re:why NOT to street race
This has nothing to do with street racing, this was just a few kids being stupid. I go up to the Seattle area all the time to race and I have never seen any acciedents or anybody get caught. We are all pretty safe about things when we race, there is usually always people at boths end of the track, a lot of the times we have 2 way radios, and we never race if we see head lights, and it's usually in areas where there are no pedestrians or cars. We all know the risks, but if you don't do stupid things you probably won't get hurt. There is more of a chance getting in a crash just driving around town than when I am street racing. I have had a few close calls driving to the grocery store or wherever, all because people weren't paying attention.
Actually this last race meet I went to there was an acciedent, but again it was the driver's fault for going way too fast around a corner while the road was wet. He was not wearing his seat belt and he ended up getting paralyzed (hopefully not permanent ), but if he would have had his seat belt on he proably would have walked away.
