Why no bail?
My friend got pulled over for driving while under the influence last night. He is in jail and they said we couldnt bail him out intill he goes to court. Why would they hold you without bail?

Re: Why no bail?
he has to be arraigned so that bail can be set first.
you cant pay for bail if you dont know how much to pay. |
Re: Why no bail?
But I know people that have posted bail without going to court I couldnt figure it out. However I could also have gotten bad information.

Re: Why no bail?
hm, yeah you should be able to bail him out within 12-24 hours, arraigned means have a court date set, and that doesnt have to happen for you to be bailed out, if you have an arraignment it means they have enough info on you to charge you, and they are trying to. my bail was 60,000 dollars, americans most wanted bitches :P

If you use a bail bond which is the 10% you dont get that back. He must have other warrants for them to not let him out. What state are in? I had a $100k bail on me and at the arraignment they dropped it down to 20k but that was for a little more then a DUI. |
Re: Why no bail?

Re: Why no bail?
He may have to see a judge first b4 he can get released on bond. Depends on the state laws.
