Mustangs aren't fast because of the V-8 engine, light chassis, or RWD...

Hey guys this is my first post. I have a friend(projekteg) that posts here. I am a die-hard mustang guy, but I still respect you guys that are acutally building fast cars. Hell, I used to sell Hondas, they are great cars.
Whoever said that the 93 Cobra is the top Mustang then they have lost their mind. That car was nice but it was by no means the best factory car ever made even leaving the 03 Cobra and the 00 Cobra R out of the picture.
Why the mullet? Why do you say that mustang drivers have mullets? That is the most absurd thing I have ever heard. If we want to stereotype by what you think then here is one for ya. All import drivers are white boys that want to be black. Sorry, not how I feel but just giving you a taste of what it feels like.
If it was for the aftermarket popularity of the Mustang your cars would probably not have the aftermarket support they do. They helped keep the aftermarket alive because us Mustangs guys had to fight in the late 80's-early 90's to keep the government from shutting down all the stuff that was being done to cars. If they had it their way we would all be driving boxes on wheels with electric motors that got 100mpg.

i think that that i would buy a mustang, but it would have to be one of the 4-cylinder turbo ones. i dont know why but i just cant see buying one with a 5.0. flame if you'd like.
on a side note... beating up on 5.0s with my old eclipse was always fun, they never expected it.

actually the 2,3 turbo ones were faster than the 5.0s when they came out

ok one reason is lets say you have a spankin new GT,
add intake, exhaust, and ati procharger intercooled at 10 psi, you have an 11 sec car if your a good driver, and also they have hugr aftermarket, like was mentioned up there, the 5.0's with edelbrocks manifold you can get, 30+ hp from that, with headers, exhaust, instake theres even more, not to mention muscle is muscle, and even in mustang forums, the LS1 will beat stock mustangs cept the cobra. i wouldnt mind having a turgo mustang gt.
