Enterainment show or not...he will tell it like it is, in a perspective that your average jerk-off can understand and relate to. His 'enterainment' is showing how ------- retarded and corrupt washington is, and sadly, its fairly easy to do.

Entertainment shows do not "tell it like it is" they tell it in a balance between what their audience wants to hear and what the people paying for the show want to be said. They're shitty rhetoricians, they use flawed logic in their arguments, they revert to childish behavior to deal with serious topics rather than articulating anything meaningful.

They are song and dance clowns that subvert analytical thought and cater to their audiences undeveloped value system.

Having seen Rush Limbaugh once or twice before becoming disgusted with political talk shows... nothing of relevance?

He sounds like a complete idiot. I developed a reputation for knowing what I am talking about 11 out of 10 times not because I know everything, but because I only choose to speak about what I do know about. When you pick and choose content based on personal experience and the direction the show's funding wishes the content to go, anything less than a perfect track record means he's doing it wrong.

Joseph, as much as Rush and Hannity, etc. claim to be the voices of "Conservatives", in reality they're the voices of the Republican party, which doesn't mean the same thing anymore.

All these guys are weirdos though. The amount of viewers Ron Paul brought in during interviews is the only reason they decided to have him on. When he was on Glenn Beck, Glenn said, "I've said this behind your back, so I'll say it while you're here. You're (Ron Paul) the closest candidate to a founding father there is." Then during the lead up to the actual election, Glenn would rather argue Obama vs. McCain for the rest of his life.

He just switched to Fox after the election. Up until then he was CNN. Although you now see Fox changing it's tone, with the new freedom watch show hosted by judge napaltano, with frequent visits by Ron Paul and Peter Schiff. All on Fox too.

What? Really? How ------- straaaange.

I remember Bill O'Reilly being a dick to Ron Paul.

Funny how Fox never supported that crowd in the past, but do now :1

Agreed, This is exactly the point of the thread, I watch allot of news everyday from all over the world and nowhere else is there as much misinformation as the American mainstream media (cbs, msnbc, fox, cnn, etc) some of them are better than others but they all have an agenda and are all biased on certain issues, the point is that its not their goddamn job to tell me how I should feel about a topic.

If you would like to see what I mean go to Youtube and look at the channels of different news agencies like RussiaToday, Al-Jazeera, The BBC (although they aren't perfect either) and lots of other independent media groups. Basically what you will see is professional journalists asking people questions and listening to their responses, not a committee of ignorant douche bags telling their guest why they re stupid for not agreeing with them and all yellling/aurguing at the same time like the ------- Jerry Springer show.

Also I think John Stewart and the Colbert Report are more informative than most of the so called "News" programs in this country, which is sad because they really ARE entertainment shows.
