my .67 .48 t3 does, its brand new and it get VERY high pitched. anyone else?

My T3 48/60 is pretty damn quiet. All you really hear is the BOV.

the sound of my super60 turbo scares me, its a deeper toned whislte, badass !! i used to run a small ass t3 with the wastegate flapper built into it, that fucker really whistled and it was just anoying as ----.

now who here is running open dp? If you are running a total factory turbo with factory o2 sensore then you will most likely not hear that whistle. I've heard it plenty of times driving 1 ton dodge rams.. but with cars it's a diff story.

Exhaust is everything here, look into it guys.

I could always here my turbo spooling down on the freeway with my Apexi N1 exhaust, it was very annoying.

all you can hear is the turbo spooling on my car, I have a greddy SP1 exhaust which is quiet as ----. I love it.

BTW rener's super 60 sounds ------- HOT

Mine sound like a hoover vacuum hiped on on a ton of steriods! The my BOV sounds like 100 tires being slashed!!!

im running open down pipe and screen filters on both of my cars and the 4 doow is louder then my eg

Mine whistles like a mofo, at idle that is...2.5 straight pipe, with..well nothing but pipe ;D

lol my turbo overpowers my exhaust all the time. i can barely hear my exhaust when im cruising or accelerating at like 1/16th throttle

Yeah Johnny, your T3 just sounded wierd to me. But it does sound good. Has a nice spool up noise :)

When my SC61 finally decides to spool, my car sounds like a ------- jet. Now that its been on 15psi for a few days, I can hear it over everything regardless of speed/wind noise.

Definitely not if you want the turbo to last. I mean hell, running without an air filter on a street car is plain stupid.
It only takes one tiny rock for example to totally destroy a turbocharger beyond repair, and small particles in the air can eat the compressor wheel pretty quickly.

mine whistles half throttle like a huge semi truck all the way down the freeway, i get old people staring at me like "wtf is wrong with his car" then at wot my ---- screamz like it wants to blow up then a nice tshhh from the 1st gen bov. love being boosted in a "not supposed to be" boosted car. makes people lick my ballz with massive questions. i'm also running it "open" with no filter and its been fine for couple of weeks now. i was thinkin bout puttin a screen or something but im to lazy...

I dont have a turbo YET, but when I do hear one, I have to stop whatever Im doing and listen to it. :) I make my wife shut up to.

i love when some dude pulls up nex to me while i'm slowly cruising, and he steps on it and starts to pull, and i step on mines too and he hears the high pitch WHISTLE kicks in and i start pullin off him then he chills...........then he acts like he dont see me when we stop at the nex light.
