chris and donald, i appreciate the suggestions and effort.


however, anything north of Treasure Island is pretty much a no go, unless its on Freemont, and even then, the ONLY reason I would stay on freemont is because of the price.




and n/a mike, thanks for the suggestion of the Tropicana. I have stayed there before and it was a decent hotel for what they ask. but I am trying to stay in a regular Hotel, not a casino hotel. I am going to be playing poker all day/night and only need a bed to sleep in, just the basics.

as far as whats going on that weekend, me and a few friends are going to go play in somebig buy in poker tourny's. we are tired of playing this lowball ---- in Minnesota.

you could try super 8 and ---- like that.
there are a grip of them right off the strip.
on tropicana there is a row of hotels like that iirc.
la quinta, motel 6, super 8, days inn places like that.
if i still lived there i'd let you guys stay at my place.

i haven't been in vegas for over a year, but i'm pretty sure they are off of trop, it might be of of flamingo.
both on the west side.
