I'm in the process. It's on hold as I want to do the body right. I want the paint and panel like glass, so no rushing to get it done by april/may.

Re: whos done a RHD conversion here???

well from the looks of it doing the RHD conversion is pretty simple but when it comes down to it i bet its a pain though to start then eases up when almost complete.so just cuttin the fire wall out will do fine so thats one thing less i have to worry about hackin the car in half like other people have done. i need a setup for a 91 civic h/b. man on honda-tech there are some real bad flamers....glad to c here everyone takes pride and complements others on their projects.....

but a major pain in the ass for toll booths, drive thrus, gated parking, and im sure much more day to day activities that i hope are taken into consideration. nothin like all that money and work into making your day that much more inconvenient.

Re: whos done a RHD conversion here???

Can someone explain to me why anyone in their right mind would want to spend money to do this? ???

But what the ---- would you want a RHD car?

BLUEHATCH 02-14-2006 08:24 PM

Re: whos done a RHD conversion here???

Why the ---- would you want to drive a FORD? I guess to me both questions would fall in the same category... but realy the reason i would want a RHD car is so my ---- would be different from every other civic in the area, without putting a gay ass body kit with 4 foor wing on it.

Re: whos done a RHD conversion here???

He just said he paid $150 for the parts, plus his own labor. Try importing a whole car and let me know how much it costs in the end. And weigh the headache of the registration vs. the headache of importing that car. It's a no brainer.

BLUEHATCH 02-14-2006 09:25 PM

Re: whos done a RHD conversion here???

Yeah ---- trying to import a car, I say there is way too much bulshit you got to deal with then... i bought my hatch for $100 + RHD front clip, full B16 swap and everything you see in the pics, all together cost me around $2000, try importing a car from england or Japan and I bet you my left nut you wont get anywhere close to 2K more like 7-9K

Re: whos done a RHD conversion here???

150 for a jdm front clip, what was the guy smokin you bought it from? i wish i could get one that simple, but i just want the dash and firewall and the other ---- like the harness and other odds and ends......

BLUEHATCH 02-14-2006 09:34 PM

Re: whos done a RHD conversion here???

well i got the front clip from a local JDM part importer, he wated $3K for a COMPLETE front end with motor and tranny, but I said HELL NO. and then i waited for couple of months untill he ended up pulling motor and tranny out of the front clip, and then the ass wipe said: just give me $150 for what you see and you can have it. So I did. You can get them on Egay for around 300-400 +shiping... If you live in WA I can hook you up on a RHD front clip... I got one more sitting in my side yard..

Re: whos done a RHD conversion here???

where is the link to the guy that swapped the purple teg over in like a week, that was a solid swap, and he did it outside!!

78NOVA 02-15-2006 06:11 AM

Re: whos done a RHD conversion here???

i seen his RHD conversion and he is brave for doing it outside. i got a garage under lockS and keys so mine will be safe for when i do the swap. the way he did it though really made me concerned over his safety though.....will that thing fall apart or rip itself off with the torque from the motor......it just really concerns me though........

Re: whos done a RHD conversion here???

No, not if done properly. Body shops do this kind of stuff all the time. BLUEHATCH works at one, I had my bro-in-law to coach me. He has done firewall replacements before, but not for RHD Conversions, just repair
