Look at everyone who uses eCtune, one of the most advanced grassroots programs yet. Who uses it? Xeno, Blue Ridge, people and orgs that have a base here. Big companies go to HT because they can hock their products to the rich California boys there. Compare the percentage of California boys on HMT to HT and you will see what I mean. HT is the venue because it has a huge audience, not because it has the best tech advice.
