Who want's to help!!! There's no real point to this thread

Just bored at work so I started to put my thoughts on the FMIC for the WRX into something I could see.

Anyhow, here's a 3d model of the intercooler and the way the piping needs to be routed. If you have ever seen a wrx engine bay, there's no room for ----, so this might be a little hard to do.

Anywant wants to help? ;)

I don't want to spend $1800 on a kit, I was planing on getting a customcoach and welding the pipes. The cheapest kit is greddy's but it still about $850. I don't want it to look toooo ghetto. I have a cheap Sears welder, and need practice, my first welds looked like ----.

Yeah well, everyonce in a while I just start messing around with it. I'm a Survey Cad drafter, well I work with a surveyor, I have 3D CAD training, but can't get a job because I don't have 3D experience, life's a bitch. So to not forget I just start drafting stuff.

It's easier to show other people with a model, than trying to explain what I want to do.

wtf, you know how much those programs cost :o ---- dat, i know auto cad b/c we use it at work along with corel designer and corel picture publisher, but i'm not too good with the 3d ----, we mainly use auto cad for wiring schematics. dave, when you trying to do this? i'll be in florida by the end of september for a few day, we could 'getr done' ;)

The end of september could be fine, I still have to order everything. I was planning to go to the Nopi Nationals, maybe scoring a lower priced intercooler, maybe even a kit. Not sure if that could even happen, I mean do they really sell stuff maybe out in the parking just regular people, just wishing on it.

What size piping do you think would be appropiate?

I was thinking 2.5", I think that's what the kits use.
I'm going to calculate how many u bends I need.

that will be easy man, the only thing i might see you needing is a couple of those 90° silicon connectors for the tight bends, since i'm sure you don't want to use any home depot pvc pipe on that bitch ;)
