as fas as i know, the landlord cannot thoronw you out especially if you have payed rent. you have to at least not have payed 3 mos back to back before he can kick you out.

---- that guy! he has no proof and you deserve a better place anyway. Our old landlord in the last apartment was a POS.

stay there till the cops come cause their is no way he can kick you out in 3 days legally.

well in three days he can file the unlawful detainer with means ill have 30days to get out.that goes on my credit. im not trying to have that ---- me up for nothing. i went to check out a 1bdrm in downey thats like three times the size of my studio today for 800 bux. i think ill be doing that. ---- this place.

Next time something come up like this, call legal aid. They are usually swampped with cases, bu they can answer quick questions like this over the phone. It is a big help and a great alternative to getting a private lawyer which is expensive and time consuming.

All I know about this is that in NY my parents had a tenant that basically squatted in their apartment and would not pay rent. THe trouble it took them to kick that person out of the apartment legally going through the courts would have taken way too long. Instead I was goign to go down there and 'talk' the guy to leave
My uncle beat me to it.

But the point is that the tenant has a shitload of rights and it's very difficult to get them out of an apartment in a short period of time here in NY.

Good Luck. My GF sleeps over every night. And my landlord, also my friend, lives downstairs and is cool with it.

i dunno why you paid the 150 extra. I woulda threatened that bitch. You better get it in writing that he isn't gonna file the unlawful detainer and that the lease is now voided. If you don't wana get fucked you better do this ---- by the books.
