"OH NOE!!!1! the swedes are gonna come and get me!" for real, you can get the IP of pretty much anyone thats a peer in a torrent, but since so many people download em, its hard to prove that someone ELSE didnt connect to your wireless perhaps, or that you dont already have a license to that software/music you downloaded... i'm not worried

It's not true anyway. Diemos posted about his departure and the upcoming revival of demonoid on the subdemon forums.

If they were going to go after people like that they would have just created a public tracker a long time ago, and wouldn't have been able to do jack because they'd be breaking the same laws they're trying to uphold while simultaneously pissing off every other company that had software being pirated there.

Demonoid is probably the easiest private tracker to get a membership to, but it is still better than going to any of the public ones. The speeds are a little better and I don't have to worry about fakes (as much).

There are still some good private ones that max out my connection and I've seen download at 7-8mbps on other people's connection (not my gangsta shoddy signal wifi).

Black-cats is one I've wanted to join for quite a while but no such luck.
