my mom has always thought that i should just buy a new car, she is like, i'll give you the down payment blah blah blah, im like...no. i've spent prolly...$3000 or so up to this point and in another $1500 i'll be done with the motor/tranny with a setup that'll ------- rock.

so total cost = $4500 and i straight up own the car, it is built, turboed, new paint, everything how i want it.

or $4500 towards a car that'll i'll still be paying off in 5 years?....and not nearly as fast...

My dad understands where I'm coming from. He helped my brother build his '66 Ford Fairlane and has owned/driven plenty of quick cars. My mother on other hand freaks out about insurance. She thinks anything I'm going to do to the car is going to send the insurance through the roof.

We all can't forget about Josh Ross's (Turbo90Accord4DR) dad, he has a built LS/Vtec 4 door civic that runs 11's! I still can't believe he went out street racing that one night in kent lol...

Mine has a 1970 Plymouth GTX with a 440 overbored to 452ci, and laying down somewhere around 500whp. And a project 73 challenger with 70 R/T front an rear clips, not sure what he wants to do with it yet. Either the 383 in it gets twin turbos, or a new 2004 Hemi motor goes in it with a centrifugal SC.
