Re: who here uses turbo gaskets?
only gasket I use is an exhaust manifold gasket. I don't use a gasket between the turbo and manifold, i also dont use one between the turbo and downpipe.....I highly reccomend using
PERMATEX® ULTRA COPPER® Hi-Temp RTV Silicone Gasket Maker
It works great....never had a problem

Re: who here uses turbo gaskets?
Better to be safe than sorry....My first setup I didn't have the rhb5 to adapter plate gasket....it leaked like a mother.....then I had to take it out again could not find a replacement gasket, the dealer wanted 2 weeks to deliver it, so I tried using some gasket material. That burned off. So I had to take it out again, tried using some high temp silicone gasket maker. No worky. So I ended up having to wait for the gasket anyways and had to take out the turbo 3 or 4 times.
Gaskets are made for a reason, if you are still piecing stuff together, just order it, if it is preventing you from finishing, then try a high temp silicone, use a lot, and see how it goes.
