That is a pretty bold statement saying that engine life has doubled... If you can find the reason behind it I'd like to hear more
I know you cant pass emissions if your gas cap doesnt seal properly because you would be venting the fumes to the atmosphere. As far as I know the only reason that PCV is routed to the intake manifold is so that it doesnt vent fumes to the atmosphere and gives the vapor a chance to burn up in the combustion chamber resulting in a more emission friendly vehicle

If your can is sealed with no breather on it or both ports are used then it's not letting any pressure escape. Vent to the ground.

Anyone have a clue as to how much air actually vents out from the crankcase? I can blow air thru the PCV but its relatively low volume... I cant imagine a ton of air actually coming out in a timely manner
