Who here uses an oil catch?
I realize most people use an oil catch on their boosted vehicles but i love all the rice boys with cars that have 30k on the motor and are running n/a, little do they realize but it is detrimental to their engines health.

Re: Who here uses an oil catch?
if its bad for an engine thats news to me. care to explain?
i work on brand new airplanes that come stock with oil catch cans. they drain back into the engine, but its the same thing |
Re: Who here uses an oil catch?
Oil catchcans hurt nothing, and increase the longevity of anything that has blowby. That includes NA builds, some of those guys actually need them.

Re: Who here uses an oil catch?
I ran a catch can, then took it out. Tube goes right across my tranny and points to the ground.

Re: Who here uses an oil catch?
PCV is for emissions. Go look up why it was created and put into use.
IMO catch cans are teh ghey. I have two vent hoses off my valve cover that dump on the ground. |
Re: Who here uses an oil catch?

Re: Who here uses an oil catch?
A tube running to the ground leaves your engine bay less cluttered ;)
