I bought skunk2 stage 2 cams yesterday, and i put them in, ran them for about 5 minutes and while the car was idldling the cam just ------- broke. no binding, no wierd wear or anything

A kid at my school had the exact same thing happen. No joke. The shop he took it to covered everything.

Those cams for some reason have alot of problems. Seen a few sets drop valves also. how bad is the motor damaged?

dropping valves has nothing to do with shitty cams, it only has to do with shitty retainers/valvesprings.

It bent all intake valves on 3 and 4, shitty thing is, it's a type r head so it had different valves :-( time for omni's

yes, they broke when i was running them in. omni's are basically the same thing as skunk 2's, and thats not what caused the break, i have used stock itr valvesprings on many s2s2 setups. portflows are not anything special.. atleast their retainers aren't... They just have their own inner springs with STOCK ITR outer's.
