that's your problem right there, you're not going to get 'big' spending that much time in the gym, i was actually my biggest after i cut my routine down to about one hour 3-4 days a week, giving your muscles ample time to heal and get bigger. and no, drinking on the weekends and ---- won't affect you much if any, but if you're driking beer every day, just quit lifting and move in a trailer and get a ta :P
I totally agree. Rest and recovery is key.

"2 hours a day 5 days a week" I hope your doing 1 or two body parts a day, and that other time is for cardio? Still seeems like a lot.
Monday - Chest/shoulders and abs
Tuesday - Front Arms and cardio trainer and shoulders
Wednesday - Back and abs
Thursday - Back arms and cardio trainer
Friday - Full body workout

I got my plan from a professional here at the local university so I think it is up to par. I have a meal plan I follow as well, mostly based on proteins.

wow, you guys should read up about lifting :P you're working those two muscle groups three times a week? that's WAY too much. you should only work each muscle group once every five days, meaning if you did chest/tri's/bi's on monday, you wouldn't do them again until saturday, and in the between days, you shouldn't work muscle groups that use the primary muscles you worked the day before, as secondaries. when i was in high school my coach had us on the m-w-f / t-th ----, so that's what i knew and stuck with for a long time after without getting any bigger, and spending a lot more time in the gym, once i cut down to 3-4 days working each muscle once a week, in less than a month i had broken out of the plateu that i had been stuck on.

My muscle groups for workout are laid out perfectly if you think about it. Not hard at all gives ample time for "recovery" and with that and a meal plan you stay routine.

lol, 1 day is hardly ample time for muscles to rest. you should read up more about body building, not to mention that arms are a secondary muscle for chest, so basically, your arms never rest. so honestly, no, your routine is as shitty as it can be :P

Wrong. Actually when you are working chest you are working your 'stabilizing' muscles in your arms not your actually full bicep or tricep these muscles do get ample rest between the days of the week. Your stabilizing muscles will help improve form as well as your strength throughout, and if you read my previous post about what my routine is you would see that it IS sensible. I am not a body builder I lift to stay in shape and feel good, and also I like to be confident enough that I can go to the beach and not wear a moo moo because I am a fat *****.
