i have rogers in canada. the new ENV won't work with my carrier cause it doesn't take a sim card

they use 850/1900 gsm band...make sure what ever phone u buy, supports those two bands

gsm phones are the ones that use sim cards...the 850 and 1900 are 2 of the bands that are used by gsm carriers

i keep getting new quad band slvrs for 110 bucks shipped - can't really beat that

re-reading your thread I see that you have GSM service. Sorry can't help ya, the place I work only makes CDMA phones. The one in texas handles the GSM. Do they even make the 9900 for gsm?

nextel/sprint/verizon. Don't have sim-cards. I *think* it only exists in USA but I wouldn't be surprised if they use it elsewhere
