I'm sorry, on how many occasions have you used the Canadian health care system?
Sure it has it's problems, and i don't claim that it's pefrect, but it's certainly better than the joke of a system you guys have there. Waiting 6 months for an MRI?? Your government has you brainwashed fairly well. 3 years ago my mother was diagnosed with a brain tumor behind her eye, 2 weeks later she had an MRI and Cat scan and a week and a half after that she had the surgery to remove it, she has been healthy ever since.
Yes we pay higher taxes than you, for example in 97 the average American family that makes between 100-149k/year pays approx 2.8% less than us here. Wow, big ------- deal. 2.8% and i can walk into any hospital/clinic/medicenter without ever having to worry about my insurance. Not once, no matter what my job or financial situation for as long as i'm in Canada, will i ever be denied care or coverage by my government.
Bring us your tired your poor, your sick..... for what so you can ask for their insurance and tell them to go ---- themselves if they don't have it. And before you say it, yes i have friends in the US, and family that owns property in Florida and South Carolina so i do know first hand some of the ---- that your system has done.
There is talk of a tiered health care system here, which i agree with, meaning if you can afford to, or want to buy insurance, you can go to a high end clinic for faster/more upscale facilities.

we just have to pay for insurance here. i've never had a problem and i don't know anyone who has ever had a problem.
the only people i know who have had problems it was at the VA...

Well, maybe i should go watch Sicko or something, but i was under the impression that there are hundreds of thousands of medical claims denied by HMO's every year for bullshit reasons ie Chemo being unnecessary or experimental treatment etc..---- i did see John Q at least lol.

Socialized health care is the worst ------- idea. Its shitty that Hillary can dangle that carrot in front of the entitlement crowd, and win their vote. ------- morons.
The job of the US gov. is NOT to take care of those who cannot take care of themselves. That is the job of families and local/community charitable programs.
Socialied anything is destined to be inefficient and ultimately more costly than any privately run for-profit venture.
Im 100% Ron Paul, however, I think that it will be a Hillary/Rudy race in the end. I predict Rudy. There is still enough pre-baby boomer 'my wife belongs in the kitchen' voters around to keep her out of office, hahah.

Well being Canadian, the next president has almost as much effect on us as the next prime minister. I like Ron Paul, but I think Rudy has it. Clinton has less of a chance then Ron Paul. A women president, not in this America, a Black president has a better chance.

that movie is full of lies and distortions. and it is NOT remotely true. HMO will deny you a sex change operation, they won't deny cancer treatment.....

Giuliani is is a wop and a catholic, there's never been a catholic president in the history of the united states out of a general dislike for catholics and the fear of papal control over the country. Hillary is a communist. They're all CFR members.. I'd say Ron Paul pulls more grass roots support than expected and gets assassinated. By a long shot I'd call for rioting and a sort of weak over hyped revolution to go on after his assassination. Then the current administration would have a reason to declare marshal law.
