Who is in debt 'cause of car??
 

Well, my credit car statement came today and I owe approx. $900 due to my engine rebiuld? Anybody want to make me feel better by being more in debt? ;D

i spent more than that on an ecu.

you think that hurts? rear end a toyota avalon after your insurance has lapsed...you'll be lucky if it sets you back 7 grand. so not only do you get to watch the wreckers crush what was once your car, but then you get to pay the silly bitch who pulled her ebrake on the freeway.

----, it's long over. i settled for 7500 a claim that they said totaled out over $12,900.

BUT, that was my old bimmer, a '77 e12 530i naturally aspirated with ported head, high comp & a mild cam. if it weren't for its destruction, i wouldn't have been anywhere near the deal of the century when i bought all of this turbo stuff, so good things come out of the bad i suppose.

cars are a good healthy investment though. better waste your money on parts than an eight ball of coke. hehe, a cop once said that to me. said, 'well, we know when we see those of you with decked out cars on the road that you ain't spending your hard earned on coke.'

i suppose he's right. and think of how much we learn by tinkering. even through failure. blown engines/tranny's/axles are the greatest opportunity that exists for a young person with a little money and a hell of a lot more time and ingenuity.

that 900 dollar is nothing compared to mine....Im about 10gs down the hole and have a house loan too boot! Ahh to live the American dream..... :'(

im 18 years old and because of my car i have NOT been less than $3000 in the hole since i was 16

ive got a visa with a 7k$ limit.

im about $550 in the hole to my girlfriend right now. but its all good, im gettin my 1st paycheck tomorrow from AUTOZONE (no i wont get u free parts.... unless u pay me personally) witch is 2 weeks pay @ $8 an hour for about 80 hours of work. you do the math.

22 years old, no job, just goin to college, 2 credit cards, just visa used for turo parts, 2000+ and goin up, yes, the american dream...credit for all!! until bill comes around, sell crap back! *get half the amount* awww this dont work eh?

I beat most of you guys.

$4000 on car loan (I was $500 away from paying it off before I had to refinance to fix it after accident #1)
$1200 to the dealership I work at for parts
$350 to my boss for various car parts
$900 on my visa for car parts

All that, and wednesday I hit a deer, wiping out my front end, including my $600 Fiber Images hood. So, without fixing my car this time, I'm already $6450 in dept simply because of my car.

well, bought my teg for 3k last summer since then dropped about 2k in it and just spent about 900 more this past month for my turbo kit so almost 3k in less than a year, all cash also, my credit sucks! but i'm kind of glad because if i had credit cards they would all be maxed out ;D

I dont really count anymore....numbs the pain.

I'd guess $4500 into the engine (entire swap, turbo, hondata..etc.)

If I need it, its a good deal, and it makes sense, I buy it.
All cash.

well my credit card is at about 2500 but i live rent free (not with my parents) but im saving to buy a house so my c/c will be paid off whenever i just put all my car parts on c/c not really in debt but my crx takes a toll on my need to buy a house

I owe about 7,000 on credit cards, and about 6,000 on my 97 civic. Right now no one will give me more credit :'(

in 97 i got a ticket on campus on a friday night going 35 in a 15. no traffic. 200 yard driveway. didnt know my insurance had expired the week before. mandatory 1384$ fine cuz thats when they just started enforcing stricter insurance laws. judge was sorry he couldnt lower it. so was i. two guys in front of me were in for GTA, robbery, multiple counts, battery, etc. fine was 200bucks or so and community service
