i had a friend buy 5 of them this morning...like alot of my friends had been camping out for days and days for this damn thing...buy it for 600 and sell it on ebay for 3500 and up.

I cant beleive people get so crazy over a stupid ass game system. I would be happy with an xbox. The newest thing I have is a gamecube lol. Unlike a gamer, I like to stay physically fit and non-emo :X

I take it they didn't read ebay's policy on this round of game systems then? They have to have 100 feedback with a 99%+ score and they can only sell one. Looks like your buddy has some extra PS3s at home now.

He owes me $50 for the oil lines I bought from him back on September 4th. I gave him a couple months and patiently waited for them but he had some problems getting the drain fitting and then lost the feed line... I offered to just buy the feed line but it's taking ridiculously long to get anywhere with that so I would just like the $50 back...

The ones we have are also for resale. No way in hell I'd pay $600 for that just to keep it. They come with ------- composite cables on a "high definition" premium package, wtf? I'll stick with the firmware hacked xbox 360 and burnt games...

Where is this stated? I thought you had to have like 50 positive feedback to pre-sell, not to actually sell the unit once you have it (which today would be the first day), you could sell it with any feedback...

because if it's 100 feedback, my buddy is stuck with a ps3 :P (I don't mind, though)

Yeah, the "rules" only apply to the pre-sales. Not the actual system. People are crazy about these things for some damn reason. I had people offering 1800 and 2000 cash for one. One guy paid $400 for a spot in the line. Thanks news for hyping it up!

yeah i think it would be cool to owne but i really don't play many games as it is. just don't have any time anymore. i got a slim ps2 for my birthday back in Feb because my original ps2 broke and i think i have played it maybe 4 times :-\.

Exactly. PC games rock so hard. I'd rather build a computer for 600 dollars (which would kick the PS3's ass, and be upgradeable), then buy that piece of junk.

That's all I play. Upgradable, versitile, better control in games using a mouse, better graphics, etc.

I could care less if people think it's for "geeks"... it's just better.

My roommate suggested that we take the ps3 out of the box and just put something with some weight to it (open from the bottom so it still looks sealed) then drive by a store and sell it to someone for a "great deal" of about $1000. Unfortunately we have morals.

Just so you folks know, this piece of ---- comes with only composite cables. WTF?!?! You would think that a "premium" system that's touting "full hd" for $647 would come with at least component, and maybe even composite too for the noobs.

I haven't even hooked it up to the tv. It'll just piss me off without hd... The buttons on it are pretty damn cool, they dont even look like buttons, nice and touch sensitive blah blah

good thing they decided not to use that gay boomerang controller, xbox controller is still better by far. at this point the graphics arent much better on ps3, but im guessing it'll start getting better as they utilize the blue ray disc more.
