White 89 HFs are slow.

Might as well be running a 24.5X3" slick with the ignorant alignment ------- up the contact patch. |
Re: White 89 HFs are slow.
WTF. 1/8 mile baby. ;D
That Ford sounded pretty mean. |
Re: White 89 HFs are slow.
Goddamn 1/8th mile teases...
Who's car was that? |
Re: White 89 HFs are slow.
Goforth's, he traded a Mk3 Supra he had $3000 in for the car. GE sleeved and assembled 2.0 ITR, finish sorting/manifold/charge pipe/tuning by John at LHT. I molested the Hyundaidata to up the revlimit so he wouldn't tap revlimit going through the traps, and changed sparkplugs a couple times, but those ARE my slicks he's worn the outside of bald by not aligning the car.

Re: White 89 HFs are slow.
Damn that thing was quick, thought that Ford had him at first.
|
Re: White 89 HFs are slow.
the ford didnt have the right water pump surface to win
|
Re: White 89 HFs are slow.
lol wtf?

Re: White 89 HFs are slow.
MAVERICK: VOODOO, GHOST RIDER ONE. I'M ON THE WAY. WAIT FOR ME.
|
Re: White 89 HFs are slow.
The CRX should hit 7.1 to 7.0 after alignment, but probably not on those slicks due to fucked up tire wear. At that point, I get to strap it to a dyno and play god since it only makes 423whp.

Re: White 89 HFs are slow.
That track looks gay and 1/8 mile is the suck, but car looks to have some serious potential :y Bet the ford owner thought he had him :6
|
Re: White 89 HFs are slow.
Heh, I saw that video like 3 days ago, being bored and browsing Youtube.
I didn't expect the CRX to win. |
Re: White 89 HFs are slow.
The CRX is stock suspension with cheapass coilovers. Theres 2 to 4 tenths caught up in the alignment, easy. Spins most the track as is. BTW, eighth owns the quarter... If you can't get out of the hole your quarter ETs are going to be slow and gay. Come back when you have spent a couple years of going to the track 1 to 2 times a week and you won't have stupid opinions.

JD speaks the truth hence why you see so many turbo cars trappin in the low 120's and still run 12's |
Re: White 89 HFs are slow.
get the vid working........and bring the car to wilkes
|
Re: White 89 HFs are slow.
Shadyside is closer. The ride down 64 to 74 (exit 103-104 off I-40) when coming from your direction is pretty sweet; narrow curvy two lane but it's mostly long sweeping curves so you can haul.

Re: White 89 HFs are slow.

Re: White 89 HFs are slow.

Sweet, me vs JDogg fistfight! His tubby ass will probably win.

Re: White 89 HFs are slow.
7.28@104.8 last night @ 15 psi on "24.5X6" slicks. 60' times are a tenth worse, but the car is hooking mid-track now.
Time to swap on the other 24.5X9's, and install the two stage boost controller to launch at 13 psi and switch to 20 for 110 mph traps and somewhere in the 6's. Ass end still bobs up and down, needs more suspension work. I'm betting it'd crack a 9 in the 1/4, after fighting the chassis some more. |
Re: White 89 HFs are slow.
yes they are. :8
|
Re: White 89 HFs are slow.
7.15@105.3 mph with 60' still stuck in the 1.8's. There's more suspension work left to do, but it's starting to get traction mid track.
6's soon. |

Re: White 89 HFs are slow.
Given a FWD has more go on the back half of a 1/4 mile track this one may hit 9.9x if she can see high 6's in the 1/8th. The car's turning it's best times 15-16 psi... needs two stage boost and FTL - 13 psi out of the hole, and switch to 20 psi once traction issues are over.
Brian Hunt's hit 10.5's on street tires in heavier chassis making as much power. Goforth is probably just as good a driver. |
