Well I haven't made a post in a while and I haven't been around much so here's some updates on what I've been doing. I finally bit the bullet and bought a 4-stroke. Its the first new thing I've ever bought. A 2007 Suzuki LTR450:

The suspension on the thing is just awesome. It has the most travel and widest width of any quad. Also the powerband is so much smoother than the 2-strokes so it doesn't beat you up as much. The 4-strokes are just better for the trails. I still have my Banshee for hillclimbing and the drags and also now maybe one day I'll finsh the projects I've started on it. (when I get the time :3 )

On the first ride I collapsed the rear rim on the rocks. Its funny that for the first brand new thing I've ever owned on the first ride I'm fixing the rims with a sledgehammer and 8 plugs :3

Its got 1100 miles on it. I really wasn't planning on getting a bike but it was such a killer deal that I could probably just wait till spring and sell it and make a profit. I knew the kid who I bought it from, he bought the thing in July barely rode it, saw somebody go down so he got scared and just wanted it gone. I think I might hold onto it for a while. It really is a killer bike. So now I have too much stuff. :l Here's the new:

I guess this is what happens when all you do is work and don't have time to wrench on things, you just accumulate stuff. :-\ Like they say, you gotta get it out of your system now before you get married and have kids...

that 450r is sick. i went to the suzuki dealer when they came out and checked one out. i wish i could have afforded one i really want a quad right now.

i thought you were building a turbo banshee or something, you give up?

I'm a quality and application engineer, work in composite manufacturing mainly in aerospace. I guess I'm not doing too bad for being 25, I have no debt and paid for the GSXR and LTR in cash. :y The only thing is I was saving so I can buy some land but I figure I can take out a loan for that and if I need to I could just sell everything. I mean I could probably sell the GSXR for more than I paid for it.

I didn't give up I just don't have the time. When I'm not working I go riding so it'll get done one day when I have free time

welcome back. you should do something ridiculous and twin turbo the 4 stroke. it would be more like the old whitey lol.

I like the gsxr, how much did you get it for? Part of me has been wanting to sell one of my cruisers and buy a sport bike for the weekends. I rode my dads cbr and loved it as well as a freinds gsxr 600.

Thanks everyone. I paid $6,000 for the GSXR. Its the first bike I've owned I only rode my friends bikes which were mostly 600's. A 750 wouldn't be my first choice as my first bike. But for the price I couldn't beat it. Its tough even finding a 600 in this good of shape with 1,000 miles and still has the factory waranty. I really wasn't even looking for a bike but I figure even if I don't want the bike I just just wait till spring and put it on the market and sell it for like $7500. I mean even if I unload it for $7000 (which I think I could do easily) I would still come out $500 ahead. So the bike is really just an investment. The only way I could lose money is if I dump it. But my girlfriend has a Ninja 250 so I figure riding with her will keep me under control and still alive. Or maybe I'll put a turbo on it :6

My mom has her own house, its just me and my dad. If I would move out it would just be him here by himself so I don't think he's in a hurry for me to move out. And I'm not moving out just to rent a place to throw away money. I'm waiting to buy land so I can build a house. Oh and in the meantime here's another project we're working on:

Its in the sand quarries near Port Elizabeth. I actually just started riding in Jersey so I'm not real familiar with the area.

yeah i still live with my dad. its cool cuz he is moe immature than i am. always peer pressuring me into drinking on work days and going to wamart to check out fat chicks. gotta love the bachelor pad. and my girl livs with us so she can keep the place clean.
