Re:where to weld diff.?
Dont weld the diff. If you want something cheap and easy just get a Phantom Grip.. They cost 250 max

Re:where to weld diff.?
spider gears...
if you don't know where to weld them i'd say that you probably aren't qualified to weld them. |

Re:where to weld diff.?
i wish they made spool kits for dseries trannys.... you gota take the diffappart and weld all the spider gears, time consuming and you gotta know what exactly to weld..

Re:where to weld diff.?
you just put a weld on each spot where the spiders meet, so a total of 8 welds (4 on each side)

"the phantom grip, works so well you don't even know it's there!"

Re:where to weld diff.?
basicly the phantom grip puts extra load on the spider gears causing the to get extreamly hot, they get so hot that they loose thier clearnce on the diff pin when this happens the spider gears will start to freeze up on the diff pin causing it to spin when this happens your fucked.
Im sure jef has some pics still of his diff that the bunny dedstroyed. Beau ps after 3 months(1000+ miles) of street driving with a welded diff it should no signs on cracks or stress after about 500 miles and 10 launches the bunny grip was done. |
