Where the thieves at?

Yeah, I'm a noob poster but I've been lurking form more than a while.

My h22a accord was stolen from in front of my house in Fairfield, CT at 2:30 AM on 12/20/05. Ordinarily it would have been in the garage but that evening it wasn’t. Around 11:00 PM, my son saw a car drive half way down the driveway, which is 600 long and stop halfway at the crest. The entire front of the house is visible from there. Previously, I had seen a white car and separately a black car do the same thing but didn’t think anything of it since people sometimes mistakenly turn down the driveway and when they realize it’s the wrong house they turn around. Usually when that happens people drive completely down the driveway. Now I realize that the house was being staked out.

The Officer who took the theft report told me that a month or two earlier an Integra had been stolen in the Greenfield Hill area of Fairfield where I live and found stripped on Hillside Ave., about two miles away. He also said that he'd seen a white Honda in the neighborhood approximately a half hour before my car was stolen with the marker letters xxx-UEx, which he noted because he'd recently seen another tuned Honda with the marker letters xxx-UAx and they seemed out of place. Well after looking all over Ffld and Bridgeport from 3:00 AM to 10:00 AM, I drove past Fetzer Tire in Southport, CT because that was the only shop in the area that had worked on my car and knew the value of the aftermarket parts, about $15,000.00 worth, all performance, no bling. Also, about a month earlier I had talked with a mechanic there about swapped Hondas. He showed me his black Civic with, I think, a GSR motor and I showed him my built direct port h22a. Well . . . guess what, in the parking lot that morning were two honda’s: a white Civic, marker number 394-UEM parked next to a black Civic, marker number 180-UAJ. I called the Fairfield Police but nothing. Had to leave a voicemail with the Detective department. It was found the following day in Bridgeport completely stripped. I’ve got pictures but you know the carnage. Bastards!

Here's part of what they got. http://www.glassbraus.com/2%20motor.jpg The turbo was next.

This is the one that broke my heart. Went up to the car at the shop, lifted the thrown on steel hood, which replaced the cf and found this.

No shame Johnny. ;D

That would be the worst sinking feeling to come out, and your car is gone. And then again when you saw it after recovery.

Re: Where the thieves at?

Here's a crazy part too. Both those Civics had cc/fab stickers on the windows. One day I was driving on North Ave. in Bridgeport and saw the same white Civic parked on the side of the road at the intersection with Norman Road. Another time I see the Black Civic and a third time I see a black or dark integra, also with a cc/fab sticker at the same place. The damn locationis location is less than a mile away from where my car was recovered at the intersection of Lincoln Blvd and Jackson Ave.

Now, God Damn, I’m interested to find out what this “cc/fab” is. As if I had to tell you. So a search brings me over to good old HMT. Turns out two of the cc/fab posse live in Fairfield; one two miles away from my house and another three miles away. I’ll be damned and double fucked - what a coincidence. Oh yeah, speaking of coincidences, the stolen Integra was both stolen and recovered on roads between our houses. This is two acre zoning suburbia gents. It’s not usual for someone to dump a stripped shell in the woods between million dollar residences.

I didn't think to do more at the time (I know some people who might have been able to help out) since I thought I'd give the cops some good info. Guess they need to catch someone in the act or better physical evidence. I am thinking about offering a reward though. :y

damn looks like someone might be in some deep ---- if you find out who it is. sucks i wish you luck with what you find. btw i hope at this point you take matters in your own hands HMT STYLE lol. looks like you had a pretty nice set up though. im hoping sence i live in a smaller town i wont have to deal with much ---- like this. but me being basicaly one of the few modified cars in my town (i think theres one other guy with like a greddy kit on his integra) i might have to be alittle carefull. i try to make sure i dont show people under the hood. and i dont have any performance shops around. damn i just cant imagine how i would feel getting my car stolen from me.

Im guessing Im one of the 2 fairfield Hmt members your refering to. I remember seeing your car listed in the the police log. your car getting taken so close to my home inspired me to get a masterlock club and disable my car where ever possible. I hope you figure this out.

im guessing im the other guy your talking about that lives near you. i remember reading your post on ht about this a while back. sorry about your loss. some kid actually tried to steal my car from my drive way a few months back but didnt get past my alarm or club. i actually ended up selling it cause i hated dealing/worrying about it getting stolen. i hope you find out who did all this. ....o and fyi...i was apart of cc-fab for a while thats why those cars had stickers on them, i was representing my friends buisness (which i am no longer apart of) and showing off the turbo kits that i made for their cars.

just to clear this up right ------- now. I AM CCFAB i have no posse in fairfield or anywhere fo rthat matter.

as of now i fly solo but i am going intoa partnership with one other person from bristol by the name or corey raymond
( coreyR) on this board.
you wanna talk about this gimme a call 1-860-209-3909 its unfortunate that my name is anywhere near any kind of suspicion,. and for that id appreciate you didnt go around ANYWHERE saying i had anything to do with your car period.

i am not or have ever been part of anything like that.

as far as those guys from fairfield. i am friends with mahcivic, quicksilvia, and mike and joe who infact own the black and white hatches.

my stickers were in fact on their cars, because i did work for them all.

after you posted that i told them all to remove my stickers, because i will not be associated with anything like this,

ridewhencan 06-28-2006 07:13 AM

Re: Where the thieves at?

No, I don't think Josh stole my car (I had signed off, that's why I didn't reply to the pms.) And Dan, I remember your posting that you'd keep an eye out for it on HT, thanks. Jordan, thanks for the assurances. It sucks to drive past the house of someone who it appears at a glance could have be suspected. As for Mike and Joe . . . . who knows. I popped my hood and mouthed off big time regarding the build, like a big idiot, but the cops have their names, as does the regional auto theft task force and it's been a half a year so I guess that's going nowhere. Bottom line reason why I'm posting this is to offer a reward, as my last effort for justice/revenge. There are a couple for reasons why I can't go for HMT style revenge, not the least of which is I don't have any hard evidence, just suspicions. What additional info the cops have, I don't know.

Anyway, well, here’s the offer.

CATCH A THIEF, MAKE SOME MONEY – I am offering $500.00 for the return of the motor in good working order but $1,000.00 per defendant for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the thieves, up to a maximum of three different individuals. Mother fuckers. I’ll never be able to put that time and money into a project car again. It was my car on 12/20/05. Pray that your car isn’t next cause the feeling sucks. PM or email me for Detective McKeon’s contact information.

Sorry bro!

someone in the area from hmt may know about car thieves... maybe you can all ask around a little, and it seems like youre pretty sure of the shop responsible, try to send a friend to do some recon?

good thing you have the block stamp numbers but at the same time every stolen motor in my area has the numbers grinded off, sometimes they will even put some homemade stamping job on it. i really hope somebody in that area can help you out.

I bought my motor from a very big houston importer, it had the stamp grinded off. The stamp just said d15b from what I recall seeing pics of it and they said the grinded it off because of the confusion since it replaces the d16z6 not the USDM d15b. I hope my motor isnt hot.

Re: Where the thieves at?

A ground off block number is bad business and in CT can get your car confiscated.

In abbreviated form CT law § 14-149 provides that: "Any officer upon discovery of any motor vehicle, the vehicle identification, engine or factory number of which has been mutilated, altered or removed, shall take such motor vehicle into custody. . . . Such officer may take into custody the operator of such motor vehicle and present such operator before a proper court. No such operator shall be discharged from custody until such operator has proved to the satisfaction of the court the ownership of such motor vehicle or such part and such operator's right to its custody, provided any such operator may be admitted to bail. If such operator is unable to establish ownership of such motor vehicle to the satisfaction of the court, the court shall order such motor vehicle or part to be forfeited and turned over to the police department for such department purposes or sold at auction with the proceeds given to such department or agency.”

And there you have it. Wonder how often that statute is used.

My CRX had the stamp grinded off too... can't remember the kids "reasoning". Turns out he stole it from a junkyard :3 but ah well, I didn't find that out til after I sold the engine and tranny to another kid, so hopefully Derrick never gets pulled over and has his engine looked at :3
