they have a couple places in so cal and for whatever reason each place has different pricing even though they are 10 minutes are apart

That was what got started back in the 90's and they stuck too it. Most zc's b16's come over these days are pretty beat up compared to what you use to get 5 years ago or so. Motors back then were damn clean/low mileage now well they usually have somthing wrong to some extent.

yeah, i dont think ive come across a B16 with under 100,000kms. ----, I dont think ive even seen any sr20dets,....anything under 100,000kms in the yards.

Yup my buddy over there said the same thing. Its just something the importers started back in the mid/late 90's when swapage was just bein born and it sounded good. Not to mention the motors bein sent over havent been sittin for 10+ years so there more like 80k+ hard miles.


I myself have swapped alot of motors and can tell anyone the motors now are usually a little bit on the beat up side but still driveable etc but not these perfect motors they want you to believe they are.
