are you serious? I've never even been there, but my buddies were just there last week.

I don't really care, I like the kiddie Disneyland better.

Re: where to have in the summer with no six flags

from what i read when i googled, both parks are up for sale along with the water park in concord, either for still staying as parks or a new place to build homes.

Re: where to have in the summer with no six flags

the main reason from the post that i read, is poor sales and attendance, gangs and they try to be a family oriented park, but its kinda hard to do that when your rides are made for teens.

Re: where to have in the summer with no six flags

six flags in illinois is always so packed I couldnt imagine them closing it down plus they just added a huge water park like a year or 2 ago

streetracer42084 07-22-2006 02:16 PM

Re: where to have in the summer with no six flags

Re: where to have in the summer with no six flags

It's a way to make a lot of money quickly.
"the 250-acre park could bring in millions of dollars if sold. Buildable land in Valencia sells for $750,000 to $1 million an acre"

streetracer42084 07-22-2006 03:03 PM

Re: where to have in the summer with no six flags

yea i know that's what the report said,if it doesn't stay it becomes new land for homes or new businesses.

whiterice 07-22-2006 03:06 PM

Re: where to have in the summer with no six flags

over development in scv has made traffic horrible. i can't imagine if all that land turns into new homes.

streetracer42084 07-22-2006 03:08 PM

Re: where to have in the summer with no six flags

there's already bad traffic as it is,just adding more to that would be horrible, cus i go work in that los angeles and burbank area, trust its no picnic.
