I didn't want to tap mine because I didn't want to chance dropping shavings into the oil passage...
So, I bought a flange from STS turbo (they were local to me at the time) they only charged me $5

yeah, i tapped mine upside down with grease on the tap and backed it out every few turns and cleaned the tap off and put fresh grease on it. i didn't see any metal shavings in there at all.
