where to get a fitting like this

but not for the return side... for the feed? my oil feed doesn't have threads to screw the fitting into so i need a piece like the return side then i can thread the fitting for my oil feed... thanks

Re: where to get a piece like stealthy's return fitting?

i think i have the inlet with a -4AN thread on it.

i think i paid like $25 shipped for it.

if your interested, i would go 20 shipped OBO.

that is if i can find it, which im pretty sure i know where its at.

(i bought it thinking i would need it, but the turbo was allready threaded and i just used a brass fitting for it)

I didn't want to tap mine because I didn't want to chance dropping shavings into the oil passage...

So, I bought a flange from STS turbo (they were local to me at the time) they only charged me $5 :)

If you DO tap it, do it while the turbo is upside down so you don't get shavings in the turbo. And vacuum it or whatever you have to do.

if you do tap it, use grease on the tap and then clean it out with brake clean as well. Then blow it out real good with a air nozzle.

That is pretty nice, I used the same fitting to the back of my block, should of done a writeup, basically what i'm using is 1/4" steel brake line since the fittings are the same ones and go in to each other.

Re: where to get a piece like stealthy's return fitting?

yeah, i tapped mine upside down with grease on the tap and backed it out every few turns and cleaned the tap off and put fresh grease on it. i didn't see any metal shavings in there at all.
