Re: Where to buy hydro-cable clutch conversion?
a kid that lives about 15 minutes away converted his 94 from hydro to cable for the b18 that he bought, i dont know if it is b18a1 or what the code is, but it is from a early 90s teg.
i went there to look at getting his old tranny from the d series that was in there. he told me, 'i put this engine in without any mechanical know how. it should get me into the low 14s as is (intake). i am glad that i bought this one, i don't like the vtec' ::) he told me he wanted a shot at my car when he is finished. he is taking it to a shop so they can fix the idling problem, and install a 'engine dress up' kit with blue hoses.. ::) some people.. |

Than why would you want to convert it to cable? |
Re: Where to buy hydro-cable clutch conversion?
My thoughts exactly, we do cable -> hydraulic conversions but never reverse.
Why not just get a clutch master cylinder from something that has a hydraulic clutch and fit that in the car? The hydraulic clutch has a much lighter pedal, which is a plus when using a much stiffer pressure plate. |
Re: Where to buy hydro-cable clutch conversion?
Its a cable transmission, Im pretty sure the car its going into has a hydraulic clutch. Its a 1995 civic DX. I dont think EGs are cable???? If they are this swap just got $200 cheaper!

Than you mean a cable to hydrolic conversion. Everyone thought you meant the opposite. |
Re: Where to buy hydro-cable clutch conversion?
OH, sorry about that. I just assumed that since it was a hydralic car and a cable tranny, it would be Hydro-cable conversion. Sorry.

Re: Where to buy hydro-cable clutch conversion?
spend the $200 on a welder and DIY it with some steel, ive seen it done that way
|
Re: Where to buy hydro-cable clutch conversion?
I have a welder, I didnt think it was something I could easily make.

Re: Where to buy hydro-cable clutch conversion?
James at BMC did a b18 into a 91 crx si. Did the Hasport. .. not a bad looking piece, for that price it better not be.
