So im slowly trying to get this thing into a so so crawler. im so broke right now i decided to do minimal mods. mainly just rotate where the suspension liks mount and make the wheel base a tad bit longer. NOthing fancy just though i would share. maybe i can get the all thread i need and accesories to make this thing into a 12.5" wheel base crawler.

umm, no.... but i guess i see why you would think that.

Im in no way a hardcore crawler fanatic. just think it be fun to modify it with as little cash as possible. Im gonna get some diff lockers, all thread and some .049 size tubing and make my own links. I just have to take a trip to the local hardware and get the parts. Oh yeah and some traxxas driveshafts. Its not fun if you just buy the Axial out of the box and not have to put it together. Then again the WK came pre-assembled. meh, i guess.

I bent a shock on mine. Dont know how though ???. Its not like I was trying to do back flips :P. Going to get threaded alluminum shocks for it soon.

The WK can be turned into a much better crawler than the AX10. Go over to RCcrawler and see how many threads there are about the AX10s transmission parts breaking. Another problem with teh AX10m is torque twist. I was going to get one but reasearch has tough me better.

WK for the win!! $60 in parts yields a solid crawler.

Julio, if your diffs are locked turn the two front tires around. It will help with grabbing teh rocks better. To lock the diffs I'm just going to drop some hot glue in it. Then just pick up some 4-40 all thread, 3/8 brake line, and ball ends and streach it to about 12.5 inches or so. I might get the wheel spacers but i'm going to give it a go like this firts.

I'll post picts when its all done.

I figure some non crawling newb was gonna say I was wrong, reverse the chevron tires in the front for crawling :)

Are you on rccrawler.com yet? I might be this summer if carpet races drop off during the sunny months.

Shocks and springs on a crawler are for wussies :)

yeah, rccrawler is good ----. Met up with D16forlife today in San Diego and did some crawling.

it was good ----. he even brought our the baller ass baja b5 its insane... i didnt drive it though... ::insert sad emoticon here::

either way, it was fun. Mounted 2 7.2v batteries for better traction on the sides of the wk.
