Indeed, it's best to have no wheelspin at all and use the clutch to control the power delivery. Any amount of wheelspin is killing your 60ft.
Unfortunately it is very hard to launch cars that have low torque, if the power band starts at 5000rpm you will either slip the clutch or spin the wheels when you go off the line. This is why automatic transmissions are superior to manual in drag racing.

you need wheel spin or else you risk wheel hop/tire shake.........

A perfect launch??

Close enough since I was detuned to 60 shot, 7500 rpm launch, 1.89 60 foot.........no sound, update your codecs, might need DIVX...........

6000 rpm awd launch and a little bit of power and this is what you get. Hopefully I can get it back together in time to meet up with dave tonight so he can whoop my ***.

Wooo look what I started.

Ok the car is a 1.3Ltr little Suzuki.
Anybody who can drink that much is wisky isnt drinking real wisky.

A pointless update.

Dumped the 185s and purchased 4 Mag wheels 6" Wide rim. Runing 210s now.
The wheel spin is no longer an issue. But now the drive shafts twist like noodles.
Need to figure out how to get a drive shaft that wont pop.

let the tires spin a little

Gonna look at spmething with power to understand, like top fuel.........

If the tires HOOK at the launch, they go into wheelhop (tire shake) and the run is over.

You have to slip something. Be it the clutch and/or the tires.

Besides, if the tires aren't slipping, your not launching hard enough.
