What's your favorite car magazine?
 

Okay so I am curious now that I have heard mentionings of Sport Compact Car, because that is my favorite car magazine. They have a reasonable amount of ads, intelligent editors, and they give respect to anything that's fast. So what are you guys' favorite (and even most despised) car magazines? I can't stand Super Street... it's like the ricer bible...

I will always say that SCC is my top favorite. I agree that they have the best editors and are the least ricey. I buy all of them however. That includes Import Tuner, Turbo (my second fav), and Super Street (my least fav). Occasionally I will buy one thats not so common, like TCI or HCI. I also always buy HondaTuning.

I don't know why everyone hates on super street, they are the most entertaining, I had a 2 year subscription to them and I turned out ok. they are the ones that introduced me to turbo, so they can't be that bad.

import tuner is by far the riciest one I've read, they have had several articles that called installing a stereo tuning a car, but whatever boils you rice is fine with me.

I like scc, but I think that they love the nissan 240 sx far too much, they had 3 articles dedicated to that car in the only issue I read (sept 03).

I like Honda Tuning alot, I've only read one issue though, I think that they do cry about Honda not releasing certain kinds of cars too much.

yeah I know what you mean about that SEpt. 03 of SCC; I couldn't believe how much they had in there on the 240sx. I think they could have at least ------ those articles out a little more. But for what it's worth, they don't usually spend so much time per magazine on one car model. In fact, my favorite thing about them is that they cover a wide variety of cars -- not just supras, civics, and JDM Nissans. They are also in the midst of an affordable road racing project -- certainly relevant to this reader.

I like HOnda Tuning the best. They always have a 4g or 5g projeect car.. last issue, they had 2 CRX projects, 1 was a HMT type turbo buildup and a b16b in a CRX. SCC is good also but I find they tend to work on newer cars only. anything old has shifted to nissans for them. I still get everyone though.
