My name's Pat and I a new member.. that makes me a noob. haha just wanted to check in and say hey. I seriously love this site and the idea behind it.. You guys are the reason I decided D series. (i was gonna save up for a b16a like everyone else) Well I bought an 89 crx dx auto for $500 it's the rustyest car evAr. The doors have holes, the fenders are rusty... the 1/4 is rusty the driver rocker panel has a hole. My plan is to get new doors/fenders/hood. Flat black the pos, covert it to 5spd (all i need is the pedals now) Then when thats done.. I wanna see if I get a dohc zc and boost it!

I plan to use a dsm t25, hf mani.. make my own adapter plate. Get some jcwhit pipes, find a cheap fmic or do a cheap tmic. use the 330cc injectors from my escort. get a vortec fmu and maybe a msd btm if i have the $. I also want a small quiet exh like a 2.25", i dunno if i wanna run a bov and i wanna boost 8-10psi MAX. comments/opinions?

Now here are some questions..

1. Is there anywhere I can but 1/4 panel skins? I saw this site: http://www.showcars-bodyparts.com/civic.html but I dunno, it doesn't have pics of the 1/4 panel skin. I'm curious if it's the sheet metal skin I want, I also need it to go around the gas door because thats rotted too. I can do the welding and crap. I also want to buy another rockerpanel skin. Do you guy know anywhere to buy this crap or is that site perfect and I'm a retard?

2. Dohc vs sohc, should I spend the $600+ on a zc? Or just use a jy d16 i can grab for $300+/-? Is it really worth it in the end? I really only car to make 180whp MAX. Maybe later on I'll change my mind but right now thats all i want. I dun wanna spend to much either because I'm poor and I'm trying to build an 11 second ford escort lol.

bigger injectors + fmu =stupid also fmu=stupid, so it's kinda like infinity plus anything is infinity, ya heard? chip your ecu or buy a chipped one and do some learning, it will cost you less than the fmu probably and you'll have better results. you should just do an mpfi conversion, ---- around with the motor turboed like that, then start thinking about motor swaps.

and you can't start calling us bitches right away, you have to wait a little bit or my bitches get mad.

Ok.. so I'll do some searching on chipping/ecus. I always liked hondas but this is my first. The escort uses a haltech e6k and thats headache enough. I dun think i wanna even try boosting the d15 lol, it has like 188k miles and... well it would be kinda fun blowing it up but I dun wanna get stuck somewhere haha.
