Whats some good movie making software?

I plan on making a movie this weekend of my failed attempts at trying to get into 14's ;D . Should be pretty funny.

this may sound dumb, but is Adobe Premier and Final Cut are the names of the programs? I to am wanting to maybe do a little video editing...or put together a video...really just add text and music.

if you want user friendlyness and easy ---- then buy a mac

otherwise premiere is the way to go

Re:Whats some good movie making software?

premier is great, but it'll take you a little while to learn it whereas final cut is just OK but it is very straight forward and easy (dumbed down)

any of you guys remember using the old amiga toasters? or avid cinema? and maybe adding a little lightwave 1.0?

I used ShowBiz and it sucked my ass. I still don't know how to add music into a video. >:(

BTW, I have the firewire thing(don't know what it's called)that goes in the computer and the software(showBiz) if anybody wants it. I have since retired from video editing. ::)

I've been using Window Media movie maker, all I can say it doesnt do everything you want it to. It gets the job done though. All the features and effects gets bored and are limited to what movie maker has. I havent tried primeire yet, I think I'm gonna get one of my friends to download it for me since i'm still riding on 56k.
