Re:Whats HONDA charge to unlock Head Unit/Radio
They did it for my mom's car for free... but she bought the car there so they might have had it in records. I'm not sure how they'd find the code. look up the serial number?

Re:Whats HONDA charge to unlock Head Unit/Radio
I was quoted 75$.... yeah i know thats robbery... I said ---- that.. I can get a new head unit for like 150....
Come to find out they charged that much for labor and ---- as they had to have a tech remove the unit from the car in order for them to look at the serial number. I didnt ask how much it would have been if i took the ---- apart myself and just had them look the code up for me |
Re:Whats HONDA charge to unlock Head Unit/Radio
Most dealers will do it for free, and if they won't, tell me the serial number of the radio and the vin of the vehicle and I can get it for you. They always tell installers.

any honda tech who has access to the honda database should be able to get it for you... its always good to have people you know working at the dealership

Re:Whats HONDA charge to unlock Head Unit/Radio
do you need the serial number and the vin or one or the other?
My sister has a 2000 accord and they quoted her $80 for it. I feel bad because it all happened because I needed her battery to start my hatch, and I took it out and fucked up her radio. She's been like that for over 6 months. I aske because I have the vin right now, but I'll need to wait for maybe tomorrow to get the serial on the radio, or maybe sunday |
Re:Whats HONDA charge to unlock Head Unit/Radio
You need the serial number off of the radio.
