Ive heard they have different headlights compared to the 2000 lights, if so what year will accept JDM CTR headlights im confused. I seen this 96 EK awile back for 200 bux, i called but they had sold already, it only needed an engine tranny and some interior parts. ----

1) the entire front end is diffrent,

2) the tail lights are red/clear rather than red/orange

3) ac controls are in a vertical position rather than horizontal

other minor details, not really imprtant, theses are the main/obvious ones.

there was a 96-98 ctr and a 99-00 ctr you'd get the headlights that correspond to your year car.

only difference is, 96-98 is OBD2a and 99-00 is obd2b
also the 96-98 front end is the one with one large hole and no vents and the more round headlights, the 99-00 has a smaller hole and two fake vent looking things.
the 99-00 has a rear bumper that has a sort of stock lip type deal built in, (it goes out instead of straight down) and the climate control uses the three **** design rather then the slide design.

oh yeah, and there were different colors that went with each (I.E. cypress green pearl *** opposed to forest green)

get the cheaper one. They basically the same car, if you like one look more than the other just give it a facelift, but which ever you can find that's cheaper (most likely the 96-9.
