Ive put in 15 applications since october 20th and i still dont have a job since ive been layed of. Called back on all of them and 2 were temp services.... Not working sucks so much ass, and leads to random post at 5:30 in the morning because you cant sleep from a whole day of not doing anything. Plus i hate my volkswagen and as soon as i get a job I'm pawning it off on some college girl who thinks its cute. I want another EF as a daily driver or a ------- crx. Way more fun to drive, way better gas milleage. might not have all the bells and whistles or as nice of a fit and finish. I liked driving it at first. but theres just somthing about it that gets on my nerves. Either the fact that it feels like it weighs 2000 more pounds than it should, or the fact that its just a ------- lame ass volkswagen and cost to much. Maybe tomorrow ill go outside and try to get my celica all finished up and sell it, and sell the vw. but i hate this not having a job ---- >:(

Theres not many places to apply up here. ive been to more places but allot of them just tell me that they're not hireing. And its not like im some grody beat sauce weirdo white trash guy. I always dress nice and Im never a dick when i go into these places. cant get a job at any resturant around here because i have 3 years cookiing experience and all of these places want to hire fresh meat to brainwash or they just want someone they can pay 6 dollars an hour to insted of 8. I Havent applyed for any retail posistions because im not a salesman All of the warehouses and other places ive applyed at in the paper that say "Will train" or is just some random ass job. they always say "Well we're realy looking for someone with experience" wtf? Who is honestly going to be experienced in these random ass jobs if no ones williing to hire you to do them. Ohio's job market sucks so damn bad. I wish i could just move somewhere where i could have a job with decent pay. :7 this 7-8 dollar an hour crap doesnt cut it.

Rawr, one thing I've learned is that it's easier to get a job when you already have a job. So, even though 7-8 dollars don't cut it, take one and continue looking for something better.

rawr I feel your pain, I applied at a good 40 places or so, called most of 'em back, went back and applied, nothing. Not one ------- phone call. I even went so low as to apply at Pac Sun (skater wannabe shop) and they hired some gay dude instead of me... apparently they want pretty boys.

I had a sweet job sitting around doing nothing taking care of experimental research plants and I got fired on 12/4 for complaining to the Department of Labor about not getting a paycheck for 8 weeks (secretarial screwup). I have a sweet case against them... but its not worth it for a 20 hour a week job. I have applied to over 15 jobs in the past 2 weeks but everyone has already hired / is firing there seasonal help. Im at the point where I'm going to go apply for ug retail positions..... I also drive a POS MK2 VW which luckily has not broke since ive been jobless (suprise). The worst part is I have an 89 DX hatch sitting in my driveway that only needs some front end parts replaced for it to drive... and I have 90% of the turbo buildup in my closet/under my bed.

Look at your grammar. Would you hire yourself?

warehouse jobs, I took one test in 10 minutes, watch people take 45 minutes and still not get done!

What did I do in the mean time, I ask the resource director about the job details.

only asking 25k a year, 30k with overtime.......my old job was making $17 hr, 40k per year.

i dunno where you guys are from but stop and shop is ALWAYS hiring.. make like 7 bucks an hour to hold you over and then you can get another job easily. Employers really wanna see you actually work!

I went and applyed at Fox & Hound restruant on the first day of them accepting applications for this brand new resturant. my availablilty was from open to close, 3 years of resturant experience as a cook at 2 restruants and i didint get hired. yet, some kid i know who applyed a week afterwords with no kitchen experience who is 17 years old got hired. And there excuse for not hireing me was "Oh, since this is a pub and grill we realy want someone whos 21 or older" what the ----? Last time I checked 20 years old was old enough to serve and work in a place like that. Now we have some mall opening neer centerville and kettering wich is going to tottaly screw the economy at beavercreeks mall. These malls are about 10 miles apart.. Beavercreeks mall gets most of its business from people who live in centerville/kettering who want to go to a more yuppy mall with bananna republics and starbucks. And since centerville/kettering are the money areas around here jobs and businesses around here = screwed. Your better off selling crack than trying to hold a job here :3

Word of advise, temp agencies aren't there to get you work, they're there to get payed. Look throught the paper and start calling every single thing that applies to you.

It was a tough time for me about 5 years ago, and I was a janitor in a warehouse that had a bunch of low paid mexican's doing the actual warehouse work (driving a fucken fork lift all day) while I was the white guy with a black boss cleaning the fucken toilets. :-\
If it's not critical, than wait for a job that you actually want, but when it comes to live or die, then go get what you got. (I know, sometimes it ain't much)

thats why you make money on the downside, while getting paid from a shitty 7-8 dollar job., hustle car parts, work on cars, sell things, and still get paid from a shitty job. make sure you have many sources to create income from, despite them not all being legal but you have to do what you have to do at times. and even if hustling illegal things isnt working, start looking through the house for things to sell to pay the bills. i know if everything went down the shithole today i could sell off enough parts to come up with atleast a G within a week or two. find more sources of income, all i can say, and it takes money to make money.

damn that sucks, out where i am now everywhere is hiring non stop. so there's no shortage of work and Alberta is a rising province that keeps the flow going with oil and everything else, so its a gold mine. all you gotta do is put some effort into your job and its gravy.

if you are in the seattle/eastside and in need of a job. The weston hotel in bellevue is in need of people. Some jobs are ok and my wife said there banquet servers make like 30 bucks a hour after tips. She is helping them out now and then from her normal job there and even got to serve/meet the Seahawks last weekend. they do have a job hotline or something.

dude go into retail. You dont have to be able to sell people ----. I've been in retail for three year. I was in food for 2 years before that.

As long as you can operate a cash register you can get a job about anywhere. It doesnt hurt to be a good hard worker either. Rigt now I'm making 8.30 as 3rd keyholder in a retail stored named Tuesday Morning.
