were u located. same thing. looks freshly painted and the guy wanted 4500. i 
in his face and told him he would be lucky to get 2000. i was low ballin but still he was out of his mind

Seriously though, I have always loved those cars too, but as somebody else stated, they can become real money pits and I have seen some with some uber fucked up wiring before. $1k though is not bad.

I've never touched a Starion/Conquest, but some of the Mitsubishi 2.6's had a fucked up balance shaft arraingement. If the engine pulses the vehicle rythmically all across the rpm range, it is a HUGE balance problem in the engine, and you need to replace bearings at the very least as they've been loaded wierdly.
$500 for a clean shell with a complete core drivetrain, $700 if you want it that bad. I seriously recommend you try to get a 4G63 swap for it, someone I forget who makes a kit for that swap.

Thanks for all the input, guys.
I've heard the 4G63 swap too, JD... I'm gonna assume you continue to use the conquest transmission? Since theres no RWD eclipses :P... wonder if theres any problems with that

I used to start the car every week and let it run, but last month
the fuel pump went and now it wont start. The vibration is steady, but the
rpm's remain stedy as well. A mechanic told me that it is probably a warped
clutch disc or something clutch related causing an unsteadyness. But that I
cannot guarantee. It souunds like the bearings to the fuel pump are going
bad and it makes a rattling noise. no antifreeze leakage at all. I will
take the best offer at this time. i'm in the process of buying another car
and since my house looks like a car lot, the tsi neds to go. Thanks!
