I have a friend who is unhappy with his. He bought it to be fuel efficient and affordable. It got mid-30s which isn't all that great. Add in the car payment, insurance, etc, and it wasn't the soul of affordability.

If you want something new with a warranty, that isn't a piece of ----, and is reasonable on gas then the Fit is something you should consider. By all reports they are super reliable and reasonably well built, which is NOT most of the Hondas made since '01.

I thought Yaris was a rebodied xA? Therefore flawless. Correct me if I am mistaken, O juice guru.

I thought the Hatchback yaris is it's own chassis. but i'm not sure about that. anyways, i know the 4 dr yaris does have as much room as a regular corolla. i know both yaris models comes with the 1nz-fe engine, same ol engine out of the Toyota echo. good motor that doesn't need much to take care of. i haven't seen much of anyone break anything in that engine family.

the corrola has the 2zz-fe / 1zz-fe both good engine but i've had seen WAY more problems with those cars then any car with the 1nz-fe.

my bestfriend / roomate has one that we both BEAT the ---- out of. it has taken 40k miles like a champ. it's a good little stout engine.

only problem i can say is getting used to the console in the center of the dash.

Oh I'm keeping that until it dies. Cathy needs a new car. The POS 2000 2dr cavalier just won't cut it.
