control panel. 460v 3 phase

2 compressors

here is me up on a boom lift getting the size of the pans so we can replace them. if you look on the right you can see the water on the storage racks that has frozen up.
Good god those compressors are iced up, Im sure it was fun waiting for them to defrost. Im curious about commercial man, I have been doing hvac for almost a year and im only 17. Ive done mostly residential, commercial, light commercial with few rooftop unit jobs but NOTHING like that. If you could man pm me how you like it and how much the pay is because looking at my current situation I either want to get into commercial since im sure it pays better or find a different career feild, I.E. union, pipefitter or maybe sheet metal.

I work for a company that builds Jeep parts.

My tasks:

1. I Run an E-Commerce website for off-road parts ( www.rjroffroad.com )
2. Take Customer Service and Technical/Installation phone calls
3. Lead Trainer (hell, only trainer) for production fab shop, currently training 4 of 6 new hires (the other 2 sucked so I sent them packing)
4. Tackle miscellaneous shop projects that require actual thinking
5. Doing all print/artwork for magazine and internet advertising

Basically I have 5 jobs in one, so every day is a hectic mess...

Here's the newest jeep plastered in a bunch of ---- we make. I took this out on some farm land that I was driving around on taking pictures one day

Here's what I am sending CSAddict tomorrow, go 44! These spring perches are our largest quantity sold every year.

if you ever get the chance to head over into the commercial side, do it! its so much better than resi work. i do some resi work on the side and i ------- hate it. commercial is where its at. the top techs in the company are making 37+ an hour, but we are a union shop. im not making that yet, im at about half that. few years and ill be up there as well though. We didnt wait for the compressors to defrost, we just ran the evaps through a few defrost cycles while we were out getting something to eat and sitting in our trucks. systems like that running a -20 evap will ice up anything not insulated on the suction side including the end housing on the compressor.
