Ouch, thats harsh. I worked for UPS this holiday season and most drivers would work over 12 hours every day. ---- even as a helper I would be out till 10 trying to finish up.

Re:what would the world be like without...

to start off, i used to work for ups. All i have to say, if your package is lucky if it arrives unharmed. I know this first hand, because we all used to throw them no matter how many fragile stickers are on it. I dont work there anymore for the record.

On another note, i have NEVER had UPS get any of my orders right. The past 5 things ive had to actually goto the city hub and wait arounbd for about an hour (after all the trucks get back from their daily runs) while they go 'look' for my packages. They almost lost an $1200 intercooler, and my porting templates! Not to mention all the other stuff. Basically I hate ups.

here is a link to take up more time.

I guess it could be different in other areas and since I only worked with one driver, I cant say much. But the driver I did work with was actualy careful with the packages :o

Re:what would the world be like without...

I loaded and unloaded and maintained the trucks (all of them) for almost a year. It was strictly a rush rush type deal. None of the higher ups cared if stuff was broken. Granted it was a cool job because i was left in charge of all the trucks after everyone left for the night. But it payed way to crappy.

and ive had nothing but bad experiences with recieving anything from them.

UPS always fucks up and sends packages to the school right by my house. It might have to do with the school almost having the same address (same numbers different street). Fedex has never fucked up though.

I spent the last 2 hours staring out my windown expecting to see a brown pos to no avail. I tracked down the two packages and they're are out to be delivered. you guys are giving me the creep. I hope they won't fawk up my intercooler.

my buddy roger worked at ups, they don't strap down any of the packages, they just use other packages to wedge between the packages and the wall. he said "i've litterally run from one side of the trailer to the other and jumpkicked a package to get it to stick in there"

i 95% of the time ship through UPS because one of their big hubs is minutes from my house. One other thing, you think UPS workers are the only ones that dont give a ----? I wouldnt trust any of em, atleast ups insures products up to $100...

I had an engine arive the other day. I get home and walk in the garage and there is this huge ------- box at the front of my garage. WTF? They opened my ------- garage door and put my package inside. It was a nice thought of them to keep my ---- secure from the crackheads and ----, but I feel violated. Someone was in my house without my premission while I wasn't home. That pisses me off. The door was unlocked, but they shouldn't have even touched the handle to figure out it was unlocked. Mother fuckers are lucky I wasn't home. I hear someone open my garage door when I'm home I'm coming out blasting a 12 gauge. >:( I'm still shocked they opened my garage door. What if some crackhead was watching them. They see that the door is unlocked and after the UPS driver leaves they come in and pillage my belongings. I come home, see all my ---- scattered everywhere and procede to kill anybody that looks suspicious outside(which is alot of mother fuckers). >:( Anybody have this happen? What if I was banging my bitch on the back of my bike in the garage and I didn't hear the doorbell ring and all of the sudden the garage door flys open and BAM! My twigs and berries are exposed to the neighborhood along with my girls stab wound. That's not cool. >:(

Hahaha, oh you funny guy. :P That was a hypothetical situation that I fabricated to use in my explanation. My girl only has 5 fingers and no toes. :P

first dr.boost, how the hell are you gonna bang a girl on a bike, oh wait..i don't want to know :-X but yah, that is hella wrong, they shouldn't be doing that. I bet if you complain to them with some hard evidence, the dude that did that will get fired for sho'

Dr.Boost 01-09-2004 08:51 PM

Re:what would the world be like without...

I don't think I want to get anybody fired. I'm too nice of a guy to do something like that, even though I feel like my privacy was violated. I know the lady down at the UPS office pretty good and she is very cool to me. I'd hate to go in there and bitch to her about this. :-\
