looks like excess gasket material.. RTV to be more specific. .

Thats why your not suppose to slap a ---- load of RTV all over the oil pan gasket

Well the engine looks clean inside, almost too clean, no gunked on oil, it was probably taken apart recently, when did you buy that engine/car?

The reason I am saying this is honda does not use red RTV, they use some white factory crap.

Well it is obviously not OE or from the oil. Have you taken it out yet? What is it made of? What does it feel like, stretchy, soft ect.

Looks just like orange RTV. Even it it was in the head the oil drains back to the pan from there.

its a z6 with 163k hard miles on it, i got it from some guy in a trade who seems to have neglected it, he was too lazy to even fix the hanging busted muffler, and kicked the ---- out of the front end when the hood wouldnt latch. it has great compression so who knows. its bout to get its *** molested with junkyard love.

ill pull whatever that is out when i wake up

That is far and away not a clean engine, it's seen some bronzing from overheating and the girdle has some build up.

Oh, yeah, I agree with you there. Most strong running 160K motors look poopy.
