agreed i think a well made lw crank pulley will not hurt for example who ever heard of a CTR N1 pulley causing oil pump or bearing failure??! it weighs nothing. the fluidamper is made for high rpm motors or motors that put out way more tq and hp then stock was ever intended for. i imagine it would lessen vibrations on the crank and rotating assembly?

The CTR N1 pulley has smashed many a bearing and oil pump. They have no harmonic balancer/rubber thing in it.I have one sitting here and Im scared to use it but i only run a alternator so i want a single groove pulley :-\

lol don't speak without experience. many honda pulleys have no rubber, crx hf,civic base models, any honda with no a/c and just an alt or p/s to run have all steel pulleys with no rubber inside or out. cut it open . besides you make no sense you even just admitted its sitting there but you never used it so how would you know? and you said you need a single groove pulley............HELLO the N1 is a single groove for alt. only :S

That rubber band in the pulley isn't a balancer it's a dampener, to stop crank flex.

crank flex? explain...

Id have to think that the rubber is there to isolate the accesories, not to stop "crank flex" but im just guessing. Isnt crank flex when your crank internally is flexing between the bearing caps from the torque load (i.e. not a good thing...only occurs in high HP cars...isnt that why 4 bolt mains are better than 2 bolt?). I dunno, anyone else know what crank flex is, maybe explain this?

If your scared to use it, whyd you buy it? Also, why do you want to get a single groove pulley if you think the multiple belt one is going to ---- your bearings up, why spend the money on a single groove thats potentially just as bad? ::)

Id like to see the damage these pulleys supposedly inflict on bearings/pumps. I want pics or vids, I have only heard this "underdrive pulleys blow your engine" stuff online. Ive never seen it in person, heard about it hapening to anyone, or even seen pics of it. Im curious to see what happens, plus carnage pics always rock! :y
